3 year anniversary!

So, as I mentioned in my last post, Jared got me a 1 night stay at a nice hotel called the Clarendon for Christmas. Then, he took off work on Tuesday for our anniversary, so we stayed Monday night. We brought Evlyn with us, b/c we didn't have enough food to leave her with someone, and we figured it would be more fun/less stressful if we brought her. It was a lot of fun! Before we went though, we saw the movie Tintin. It was pretty good! And, that's the first time we've seen a movie in the theater since Evlyn's been born. It was fun! My MIL and FIL watched her for us. :) So, here's the pics of our room.

 Pretty nice and classy, right? Right after we brought our stuff to our room, we decided to go swimming! They had a pool and a HUGE hot tub. The pool was too cold, so I stayed in the hot tub the whole time, which wasn't too hot. Evlyn couldn't be in it though, and the pool was a little cold for her. So, she just kicked the water and played on the side. Of course, one of both of us were with her the whole time so that she couldn't fall in.

 This is before we went swimming. Do ya like my new swimsuit? My mom sewed the purple material so that it wouldn't be too revealing for me. :)

Tuesday morning, we decided to celebrate with some champagne! haha j/k. It's really sparkling cider. 

 We checked out of the hotel, went out to lunch, and then went to my parents' house. They watched Evlyn for us while we went to the temple. It was really nice to go together on our anniversary! Plus, it's been a while since we've been able to go, so it was def. needed!

On Saturday, we walked around the mall. The Santa spot was still up, but of course nobody was in it. Jared asked a security guard if we could take some pictures. She said yes, so we had fun! I took a lot, but I don't want to post all of them.

 It's kind of a long story, but we ended up with a baby bullet! I'm having lots of fun making baby food! Here are some sweet potatoes and avocado that I've made for her, in the freezer. Aren't the little containers so cute?!

1st Christmas! 2nd tooth! Crawling!

To begin with, I hope everybody had a great Christmas! We did! We spent the weekend in Mesa, and got to see my parents and siblings, and some cousins, aunts, and uncles that I haven't seen in a long time! And, they hadn't seen Evlyn! So, it was a lot of fun! These first pictures are of Evlyn in her little Huggies onesie. Huggies sent her 2, and I had fun taking pics of her. :)

This next picture is from our walk this morning. She was just sucking her thumb and having a grand ol' time!

 For Christmas, we were definitely spoiled! My parents gave me a camera, case, memory card, some kitchen things I had asked for, and a family game! Paige gave us a cool calendar with puzzles and me some pretty eyeshadow. Aimee gave us a cool menu planner and Evlyn a cute little dress. Here are 2 of the things Jared's parents got us. I had to take pictures so ppl would believe me. You know how much I like peanut butter, right? Well, I do. I finally counted and discovered that I eat 18 oz. all by myself easily in a month. Typical jars are 16 oz. (1 lb.) And, that was without baking it or giving any away. :) So, I was especially excited when we opened this...

 80 oz!!! Plus, this is my FAVORITE peanut butter, which they don't sell in AZ!! I was so sad I even wrote the company! We got addicted in Idaho, only to discover they don't have it here. So, now we have 80 oz! That will take me about 4.5 months to go through. However, if you take Jared into account, we'll probably finish it in about 2.5 to 3 months. :) I'm glad my hubby enjoys peanut butter too! The next gift they gave us was fun too! I really like dates!

 And, here's our new little family on Christmas day! Evlyn was a little tired or something lol.

 This one's not very good of us, but it's better of Evlyn. Well, at least she doesn't have her pacifier!

 These next 2 pictures were sooo cute!! Evlyn fell asleep and Jared put her next to her cousin, Landon, who was sleeping. I got Jared hair clippers, which he desperately needed, a shaving oil that is supposed to be good for your skin, a UV light that disinfects things, and a family picture so he can have one on his desk at work. I was so happy he liked everything! He spoiled me! He made me 2 CDs, and got a deluxe hotel stay for our anniversary next week! He even took off work for that day! And, he got me a Bath and Body Works lotion that smells really good, and 2 pairs of earrings.  And, this was probably the first year that both of our gifts were a surprise! haha For some reason, it seems like one or both find out at least one of our gifts. :P

 Now, we are back at home and Evlyn is getting better and better at crawling! I took a video of it, but on my sister's camera lol. So, I'll post it when I get it. But, she's started to pull herself up and try walking. So, Last night Jared tried to help her along a little. Here's a video! She's so strong at 7.5 months! I think she'll be walking by 9 or 10 months!

And, like the title says, Evlyn has 2 teeth now! The second poked through yesterday. I realized that this is exactly ,to the day, 1 month from her first tooth's appearance! Crazy, right?

So, today on our walk, I decided to put Evlyn in a baby swing at the park. I don't know why I didn't do this sooner! She loved it!

 Last Saturday, we went to Mesa and to my parents' ward Christmas party. They had Santa, so we got Evlyn to sit on his lap. She didn't cry, but looked super confused the whole time. haha

 Here's another b-day outfit I didn't post. I love this sweater! The jeans are the same as the other pic, and the shoes are my little sister's. She let me borrow them.

 Trying to go into a crawling position.Speaking of which, Evlyn now army crawls pretty well and can say mama and what we think to be more. yay! my little 7 month old is so smart! And, she pulls herself up to standing both in her crib and on the couch. Also, she LOVES walking when we hold her little hands.

 We opened the present Jared's parents gave her along with Kiana's children, b/c everyone's going to be out of town for Christmas. Evlyn ripped a little of the paper! Of course, we had to do the rest. She really likes this little kitchen set, and it's so cute! Her little cousin Margo got the same. In this pic, though, Evlyn looks more interested in Donnovan's present. lol

 The two baby girls. We tried to get them to smile but there were like 3 cameras flashing, and 6 ppl yelling crazy things to try to get them to smile. haha needless to say, there were no smiles. But, they were pretty good just sitting there looking confused!

1rst Thanksgiving! Christmas decorations!

Our internet is insanely slow, so this will be the last post until we switch internet companies.

Here's Evlyn on her first Thanksgiving! She loved playing with her cousins' balloons! It might be lame, but I'm gonna get one for her for Christmas. :P Thanksgiving was great, and we ate TONS!! There were at least 8 different desserts, which I thought was the best part lol. And, I tried most of them. (Banana cream, chocolate, pumpkin, pecan, blueberry, and lemon mirange(sp?) pie, then cookies, chocolate covered fruit, and whipped cream. yumm!!! We went to Jared's family for Thanksgiving.

Then, on Saturday, we went to visit our friends, Laurice and Mary. We played Rock Band for the first time, and I had a blast! Here's my hubby on the drums, and Laurice on the guitar. (Mary and I beat them!)

 Evlyn LOVES water! I might have said this before, but it's hillarious how much she does!

 Random family picture! Jared took me shopping for my birthday! I got skinny jeans (which I swore I would never wear lol), the neclace, and the jacket thingy. I really like all of them! I also got a really cute sweater, which I'll have to show you in a different post when I take a picture, and a shirt. :) He spoiled me!

 Last weekend, our friends had a yard sale. They said we could sell some stuff too, so we hung out with them most of the morning. Here's sleepy little Evlyn snuggling with her daddy!

My grandpa came to town and visited us last later that afternoon. We went with him and my dad to see a nativity display at a stake center. It was amazing how many nativities were there! I took a few pictures of my favorite/ones that stood out. This one was just interesting. Igloos and Eskimoes, and polar bears. lol

 I really liked this one too! Mary very pregnant on the donkey, and Joseph leading the donkey. I thought it was very beautiful!

Now for some cute smiles! Her personality and smiles just keep getting cuter! We love her so much, and when she smiles it's so contageous!

Now, for the Christmas decorations!! yay!! I LOVE Christmas! I had to wait and wait to put the decorations up, which we did the day after Thanksgiving. yay! Here's our cute little tree! This year is a lot of firsts! Our first Christmas in our house, our first Christmas tree, and Evlyn's first Christmas! I still haven't found the perfect tree-topper, so we don't have one yet. :P

This is a hot pad that I made years ago, but I've never used it. So, I decided to hang it up as a decoration.

 And, another wreath! I love the sound it makes when you shake it! Did I mention I love Christmas?!  I love Christmas music, Christmas deocrations, Christmas lights, Christmas trees,... you get the picture.

Oh, one more thing! We have new callings...sorta. The bishop called what seemed like half of the ward to be in the ward choir, including us. Then, he asked me to be the pianist. So, neither of us are really singing, b/c Jared watches Evlyn while I play. haha. Oh well, it's fun. And, I get to play Christmas music! :) Well, that is all. Oh, just kidding. One last thing! Jared finished his class next Tuesday!! YAY!!!!
