belly, house

I'm so excited for the progress on our house! We will be moving in next weekend, and I still have lots of work to do before then. But, the bathroom will probably be finished today, and it looks amazing so far! And, our cabinets should be done today too. They look good, but it's only the inside that was replaced so it won't look very different. haha the guest bathroom is the one that had all the problems, and now it is the nicest bathroom in the house! I think we'll use that one and have our kids use the master bathroom. :P

I went to an auction yesterday with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. It was fun, and my first time being to one of those! I was surprised at how fast the guy talked! Well, I got a 6ft. wood bookshelf for $10! I was excited! I don't know where we'll put it yet, but I'm sure it will come in handy.

Here's yet another belly picture. Sorry you have to see so many, but I like to see how fast my belly is growing, and the baby! I'm 25 weeks and 5 days in this pic, and our baby girl is about 14 inches and 2 lbs. :) She grows up so fast. :P

I'm excited for this weekend! I get to see and spend some time with my hubby! Luckily, I have really amazing visiting teachers already! They visited me this week and one of them lives around the corner from me! Her hubby is gone often for work too, so we will be buddies! And, she has a cute little 1-year-old girl!

House of mess, new callings

Our house is coming along, but parts are very torn up.

This is part of our kitchen cabinet. We had to tear it out and repair some stuff.

This is what used to be our bathroom wall. It is now torn-out, but I'm sure it's gonna look so good when it's done!

These past few days have been insane! On Monday, I spent it looking for tile with my mother-in-law, and also getting a washer and dryer for a great deal! Then, on Tuesday, we left at 8:15 to get tile, got to our house at 9 to meet and let the workers in, and then he told us that we could save money by just replacing our bathroom cabinets. (We were having him fix some damage) So, we spent from then until 3:00 driving EVERYWHERE, and looking for a cabinet. We finally found a great one at the Habitat for Humanity Restore, for $72! This is a great deal, b/c it would've been over 300 for this at Home Depot.

Today, I waited for 2 hours at the house, b/c the workers were late. Then I went back to give one of them something they needed. It's just been a crazy week and I'm excited for our ho

I don't see much of Jared because he has school on Tues/Thurs from 7-9:30pm, and he gets home from work at 5. But, he is now trying to study with the few hours he has in between, and help with some manual labor at the house. Plus, he got a new calling! He's the new Webelo leader. So, he has meetings on Wednesday nights. Thus, with barely any free time and 8 credits, my day to see my hubby is Sunday. :( At least I get one day with him.

Our baby girl is very fun and active! She moves all over, and has found my right ribs. I'm still lucky though, because she hasn't kicked hard enough to hurt me. She does kick pretty hard though, and it's fun to feel from the inside and out, and also to see it bulging on my stomach. 14 more weeks until we get to see her!

We really like our new ward and have been going to it for 2 weeks now. Jared already has a calling, I will have one next week, and my visiting teachers are coming tonight! They are very on-top-of-things! Everybody seems so nice, and there are a lot of teachers! So, hopefully I'll get to substitute quite a bit before the baby comes.

Well, that's our lives right now. House work, shopping for house stuff, school, work, and callings.

House update and more...

Well, we're not in our house yet. Hopefully, we'll be able to get stuff fixed so we can move in next week. Our parents have helped us a lot with trying to get things finished, but it's still taking longer than we hoped.

Like I said in the last post, Jared started school this week. It seems good so far, and hopefully it won't be too much work because he works 9-10 hours a day.

Our baby keeps growing and it's so fun to feel her getting stronger. I finally started getting back into exercising. yay! I went with my mother-in-law on Tuesday morning to do her normal workout. It was a great workout, but I tried to be careful...apparently not careful enough, because I was really sore. So, I skipped two days and went again today. It was fun! Hopefully I can work up to 3-4 times a week and get into shape again. :P

Moving...kinda

So, we moved, but not into our house yet. We closed on our house, but we still need to make some repairs before we move in. So, we are living with the Morris', Jared's parents, until we can fix our house. We're super excited to tove in!

On another note, Jared starts school tomorrow. He's taking some pre-requisite classes before he starts his masters program.

And, here's two more belly pictures. My belly has definitely popped, and our baby girl is so fun to play with as she kicks me. I can actually see her kicking my stomach! I am now 24 weeks and 2 days. I love poking where she kicks and having her kick back! I can't wait to see her! less than 16 weeks left!

Celebrating our Anniversary

So, we got to celebrate our anniversary on Saturday. I got to spend the whole day with my hubby, and it was great! For dinner, we went to My Big Fat Greek Restaurant. It was really good food, and a lot of fun! Here's a picture of us, all dressed up for dinner. The room was dark, and my flash was not on, so it's not a very good picture. :(

Jared ordered lamb (gyro), and I ordered a casserole thing. They were both delish!

Kinda sad the picture of the food is better than us, but oh well. Mine is above, and Jared's is below. There was a lot more food than this; we had already eaten a lot.

Then, our very nice waitress brought out dessert for us, and said it was on the house because it is our anniversary. It was very yummy baklava. As you can see, it was so good that we forgot to take a picture. So, here is the end result. :P

And, here's another picture of us after dinner. My mom helped me sew my first dress, and that's it! It's big, but that's so I'll have room for when I keep growing. :)

Ode to The Cosby Show

So, my parents got some seasons of the Cosby Show for Christmas, and we've been watching it. Let me just say this is a hilarious show, and it is so fun for families to watch! For those of you who have forgotten how awesome this show is, you should reconnect yourself with it! It's one of the few clean shows that is funny, and great for any age.

Ode to our House

So, this long process is finally paying off! Actually, we got pretty lucky to find our house on the 3rd or 4th day of house searching. So, we started looking in August, and we just did the final paperwork! We will get the keys next week! We're so excited to have our own place, especially one that is bigger than 15x15 sq. ft. (Our studio apartment at school was that size, and the kitchen and bedroom were all one room.)
Here's the front door and window, with Jared smiling for the picture. :P I really like the design of the windows! Oh, and I'm super exited about the nice blinds that are on the windows!

Most of the light fixtures I really like, and here's one of them. I think there are 2 or 3 like it.

Here's our cute little kitchen my cute Jared, an inspector guy, and a super low light. :P You can see that the light right above the inspector would hit Jared at the shoulder. I can almost walk under it without being touched though. :P

Here's our entertainment room/center. We still haven't quite decided what changes we will make to it, so for a little while it will stay.

Our lovely stairs. Our daughters are going to love gliding down these as their prom date waits at the bottom. I always dreamed of coming down stairs in a prom dress, like in the movies, and having your date wait at the bottom, watching you walk down. :P

Here's our beautiful gazebo. I absolutely love this! The sides of the back yard are really pretty too, and we have 2 orange trees!! We thought they were lemon trees when we first saw the house, the they turned orange!

So, here is the gist our new house, before we add decorations and other stuff. I'm so excited to decorate for Christmas, too bad I have to wait a year for that. :P

New Favorite Candy Bar

For those of you who know me, know that I like basically anything with peanut butter. Well, surprisingly, I think I may have a new favorite candy bar! The new Peanut butter Snickers is pretty much amazing. I think I like it better than a Fastbreak! So, now my favorite candy bars are Reeces pieces, Reeces big cup, and the peanut butter snickers. yummm!! Anybody who likes peanut butter should really try this!

New Blogger

You'll have to bear with me, because I'm new to this whole blogging thing. But, people keep telling me I need to start one so I am. I'll start off by saying that my wonderful hubby and I just had our 2 year anniversary! Time has flown, yet it seems like I've known him forever! We get to celebrate it on Saturday, because we didn't have time on Monday. Here's a picture of my sweetheart and me on our wedding day 2 years ago.

Now I'll tell you a little about my pregnancy so far...

Our little baby girl is now about a pound! She is very active and kicks a lot. This is such a fun, strange feeling! Luckily, she hasn't found my ribs yet. I am 22.5 weeks, which means I have about 17.5 weeks left!

Here is a picture of me at 17 weeks. I know, it's blurry. I'm not very good at taking pictures in a mirror. :P

I have been very blessed this pregnancy, and have not gotten sick. I had a little nausea, but nothing more. I was very happy about this, because I HATE being sick, and I was student teaching for the first 4 months of pregnancy.

This is Jared and me on Christmas, and it's a good pic of my belly at 21 weeks. Isn't Jared so cute in it too?

Here is a picture of my belly at 22 weeks. It has grown, and now you can tell that I'm pregnant and not just gaining weight!
There's the update on the pregnancy so far, and hopefully I'll get the hang of this and it won't be the only post. lol
