Visit to my house

Yesterday, my mom, grandma, Aimee, her kids, and Paige came to visit me and Evlyn at our house. We hung out a little and then my mom took us out to lunch. It was fun! Landon had a blast just running around our couch and saying, "bye!" Too bad we didn't get a picture of that. But, Aimee took some pictures of Evlyn and sent them to me.

Evlyn was super tired. Poor baby!

Mylee was so funny and started saying "shh shh" to Evlyn when she started crying. She must've gotten that from her mom. It worked a little too!

New Hair, Mesa

We went to Mesa this weekend to see my Grandma who came to see mine and Aimee's babies. Aimee's baby, Brixon, is exactly 6 weeks older than Evlyn. It was fun to have them play with each other, like little furbys lol. They kept looking at each other, waving their arms and legs, and smacking each other in the face. They didn't seem to mind though. Evlyn got upset after Brixton spit up on her. lol

And, Mylee loves holding babies and held her 3 or 4 times. She is already such a little mommy.
Jared has been wanting to play croquett (sp??) for a while now. And, my mom found their set and mowed the lawn. So, in this extremely hot weather, the boys decided to play.

Aimee cut my hair. I wanted to get it cut, to donate to Locks of Love. However, I needed to cut it a little shorter than I expected. I almost changed my mind but decided to go ahead anyway. Before....




After... I love it! It's so much easier to manage, and I don't get it in Evlyn's face all the time. Now I can do something besides put it in a ponytail to keep it out of her face and hands. :)

Brunchies, Evlyn update

Love pictures of my man and girl together! I'll start by telling you about last weekend. We decided to go visit my family in Mesa, and went to Brunchies on the way. Brunchies is a cute little resturant in Chandler, and it is soo good! It's owned by the same people who own Serranos, and they serve breakfast and lunch. yumm!!

Jared got a skillet. Look at this! It's huge! He only finished about 2/3 and was super full. It is eggs, potatoes, cheese, green peppers, meat, and other stuff I don't know. It also came with some tortillas to make burritos.

This is what I got. Heart attack in one bite. This right here is 2 cinnamon rolls deep-fried, with powdered sugar. Then 2 strips of bacon and an egg. You see that plate in the background with syrup and butter? yup! That's also what I put on this thing! yummm! There are healthier options lol.

Here's the outside where some people chose to dine. We ate inside, b/c it is cooler.

Now for the cute little Evlyn. She has her month check-up on Monday, and she now weighs 9 lbs. 12.5 oz, and is 21.5 inches long! She's growing so much! I already had to retire 9 of her cute little outfits. She's more awake and alert, and looks at me! I love it! She even responds to my voice sometimes. She's super strong and has been able to lift her head up for about a week or two now.

This is Dorathy Lalonde, one of my leaders in church when I was younger. She came over to my parents' house last Saturday and played with Evlyn.

I love these 2! She is always moving her arms and legs, and love to have one or both arms up. It is so funny!

This dress is a dress that I wore when I was a baby!

lol these 3 pics were taken on her changing pad, b/c she likes to just lay there for a little after getting her diaper changed. That face she's making means she's done hanging out lol.

haha She's just moving her arms around, but it looks like she's punching Jared. :P

And I love napping like this. Sometimes this is the only way I can get a nap in and get her to sleep.

Her ambilical cord is still there, but so small. I'm hoping it will fall off soon! Poor baby! Whenever a doctor looked at it they said, "Wow! this is a really thick cord!" So, needless to say it has taken FOREVER to fall off! But, it's almost there! yay!!

Bummer

So, I just realized I used a lot of pictures that I've already posted. Sorry! I definitely have tons of pictures, it just takes a while to load on this computer. So, I'll post new ones on my next post of my growing beauty. thanks for reading!

4 weeks

Our little baby is growing! She is now 4 weeks old! I decided to make a small list of some of the cute things about her that I love:

Evlyn

So, Evlyn's sleeping and I'm too tired to do more cleaning. And, I have lots of cute pictures of my princess that I thought I should post. Today, Evlyn is 13 days old. Tomorrow she'll be 2 weeks! It's crazy! She's so cute and we love her to pieces! She loves to pee right when I take her diaper off, which is hilarious! Luckily she's been on a changing pad whenever this has happened!

She's so funny to watch in her sleep! And, she's so cute when she stretches! She's a week old here.



This one's on the same day. I love how cuddly she is!Here's Evlyn after a sponge bath. This is her 2nd sponge bath by me, and her 4th total. (They gave her 2 in the hospital.) She is 8 days old here.

I wanted to get a picture with her next to my belly before she got bigger than she was at birth. It's just amazing to me how babies can fit in stomachs! She was 9 days old here and I think a few oz. less than she was at birth.
I love when she plays a little before a nap! I can't wait to see what color her eyes are! She's 11 days old here.
Here's Evlyn 12 days old. I love this little dress of hers, and how cute she is laying on her tummy! She rarely lays on her tummy, and I make sure I can see her incase she turns her head.
