New job, new food

My baby is four months old!! And, she just rolled over last night! As of last Wednesday, she weighs 15 lbs. 2 oz, and is 25 inches tall. That's the 76th percentile for weight and 75th for height! The doctor told me to start feeding her cereal and baby food every day. Well, I don't want to every day, b/c I think most of her food should still be milk, but I've done it a few times. She LOVES it! Here's the first time. She just loved grabbing the food and touching it. (It was carrots)
haha she really liked it, but I didn't get any good pictures of it. She kept blinking, but it makes her look drunk.

And, here she is eating her jumper. She loves to chew on anything and everything!
Here's day 2 of the carrots.

And, here's Evlyn trying to get the hanging animals off the swing. After about 5 minutes she realizes she can't pull them into her mouth and gets angry. lol
She was watching daddy cut his hair. :)

And here she was playing. I love her smiles and laughs!
haha please excuse the camera chord I got in the picture.

Just a fun pic. I love all her face expressions!
Last Saturday was Josh's birthday. And, Mylee's was on Wednesday. So, Aimee had a birthday party and we went to Mesa for it. They rented a bounce house, and Evlyn LOVED jumping while watching Landon jump.

 Love this next one!

Then she pooped on her cute dress and I was not prepared with another outfit. So, Aimee let us borrow Brixton's. She still looks cute in a boy's onesie, though right?
This was a cute daddy daughter sleep moment. :)

So, I got a job! I'm going to be tutoring online. We'll see how it goes... Hopefully I can do it mostly while Evlyn's sleeping or while Jared's home and has a break from homework. I'll let ya know how it works out when I start.

Craziness

So, last week was a crazy week and I decided to do a quick post about it. Jared and I noticed our freezer wasn't as cold as it used to be on Sunday. I thought maybe it was just turned down too low and we had been eating food from our freezer quite a bit, so it was quickly emptying. We turned it all the way to the coldest setting and decided to wait.
Well, Monday night came and the ice was dripping, the meat was defrosting, frozen juice was no longer frozen, EVERYTHING was melting! (Including pumped milk which was sad). Luckily, a good friend who lives pretty close let me store most of our meat in her freezer so I wheeled it over to her house with Evlyn in the stroller. It was too late to call anyone so early Tuesday morning I called a repair man. He came at around 12:30. After taking the food out and inspecting our freezer/fridge, he said there was an internal leak and the only way to fix it was to take apart the entire fridge. He said we needed a new fridge.
So, now I was in panic mode! We still had food in both the freezer and the fridge. I called my mother-in-law (Diana), who let me bring most of our freezer food and some of the fridge food. My mom started looking on Craigslist for me while I was driving to my in-laws' house. Then, while there Diana and my sister-in-law (Kiana) helped me with Evlyn while I searched on line. And, I found one! Diana took me in their truck to go pick it up!
Yay! So, we got a fridge and everything worked out. We just had to wait to plug it in. Then, Wednesday morning I got up at 6 and began switching the food. Luckily we only lost a few things. Crazy few days, but so many people helped us and now we have a working fridge/freezer!

Smiles, Idaho final part

Here are the last pictures from Idaho! These were from a photographer there, and I didn't even know they took any of me.

Here's my grandma, and my mom's back to her left.
Me talking on the phone to I think my hubby. And, Evlyn being cute.
 My brother Sean with Evlyn.
Sean played chess almost the whole vacation, so I had to put this one in here. :)
I don't know what I was looking at, or where my baby is, but here I am!
My sister Aimee and me with our babies talking to our Aunt Lynette.
 Family picture time!

Okay, back to AZ. Evlyn is so smiley! I love it!! This picture here is probably my favorite so far!
Here's another cute one though!
Making funny faces!

Paige was doing the airplane with her. haha We have to sneak in tummy time any way we can because she still hates it!

Scott and Kiana blessed their baby last Sunday. Evlyn has a little cousin now who's a few months younger! Here's daddy with Evlyn!

Here's Scott and Kiana, they're baby Margo, and Diana and Marty (the grandparents)
And here we are at Brunchies again! Remember that yummy restaurant I wrote about a few blogs ago? Well, Theresa met us there last Saturday and loved playing with Evlyn!

My favorite childhood cookie, which I had at my friend Laurice's house (Theresa's daughter). yumm! Theresa let me have these! And, I ate 2 right after breakfast! Seriously, if you go to Brunchies, you have to try one! They are called Chandler Snowballs.

Here I am all excited to eat them!

This was a funny talking horse that we didn't notice before! Theresa let us see it talk and the people in the restaurant were watching. I'm sure they thought we were strange, but at least they got some entertainment!

Here's a waitor man that they have right by the door so you can get yummy mints on the way out!

The other day we put Evlyn on our bed. She fell right asleep and it was so cute!

Here's her new bumbo!! I love it!! My sister Paige played with her when we went to Mesa last weekend. Evlyn seemed to like having lots of people play with her!

haha this is such a cute picture! I set her on the couch to see if she could sit up, and she kinda posed for a picture!

I tried the bumbo everywhere, including this play mat. She didn't like it here too much.
Evlyn is so much fun!! I love seeing what new things she does and new noises she makes every day! We find out on Wednesday how big she is! She'll be 4 months tomorrow!!

Idaho part 3

So, I've decided I love the way jeans look on babies! They don't make changing diapers easy, but they're soo cute!!

 Cute, right?

So, the other day Evlyn just kept spitting up all over! Finally her cute little dress was pretty wet so I decided to change her. I found this shirt that she's never worn, and decided she had to wear it! Not super flattering, but I thought it was funny and fitting!

 And look! More jeans!
This was a good shopping day! I got a head of lettuce, jicama, 4 mangoes, 1 bunch of celery, 4-32oz tubs of yogurt, 1 gal. of milk, 5 husks of corn, 5 kiwis, and 5 red bell peppers for $11.29!! I was pretty excited!

Here's Daddy reading his scouting book to Evlyn! Not really, but it looks like it! He was reading it to himself. :)
Evlyn with Sis. Gregory at mutual!

Look at these 2 cute babies! The baby to Evlyn's left, our right, is Aryah. They're only 1.5 weeks apart! Maybe they'll be best friends!
And, here's her cousin, Brixton. haha This was in Idaho. He liked to grab Evlyn, but eat his own hand. It was funny! Evlyn looks just a little freaked out!
Family photo! This is the first family photo we've had since my wedding!
And, our new family-family photo. :)
